Iowa-based tech company iConnect successfully completes capital fundraising efforts for major growth investments in Iowa

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa, October 7, 2016 – iConnect Corp, Inc. (“iConnect”), developer of “Connectivity” advanced software solutions for global business communications, announced today the completion of its 2016 capital fundraising effort led by Next Level Ventures, a Des Moines-based venture capital firm investing in high-potential Iowa companies. The invested capital will be directed toward major growth initiatives in Iowa focused on expanding iConnect’s leadership and technical teams, augmenting existing sales and marketing efforts and driving new business development across the globe.

Joining Next Level Ventures in this fundraising round is The Gazette Company, based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Founded in 1883, their business lines include The Gazette newspaper, which has been in circulation since the company’s founding. These incoming investors join Iowa Seed Fund II, which has close ties to the Economic Development Corp. The Iowa Seed Fund II invested in iConnect in 2013 and 2014.

iConnect has been growing rapidly since it was founded in 2012 by Tom Kielty, the company’s President & CEO. Today, iConnect has grown into a provider of SaaS-based communications solutions for enterprises, educational institutions and language service providers around the world. Customers rely on iConnect’s platform to transform global business and cross-cultural communications. Its customers include PerkinElmer, language service providers such as Partners Interpreting, Para-Plus Translations, Geneva Worldwide, and Unity Point Hospital System.
